50 Years of freedom and lightness

"Only by believing in the future have we been able to construct stability and safety that take their inspiration from freedom and lightness" (Ottorino Lovato)

Ottorino Lovato: owing to his entrepreneurial spirit and his not only economic intuition, Officine Lovato was set up in Vicenza in 1958 and was from the outset a centre for innovation and experimentation. The watershed between the past and future came shortly afterwards, with the design and creation of the first multivalve for LPG systems which has been continuously updated and is now used worldwide. The patient creation of a technological and cultural heritage continues to this day, thanks to Ottorino’s children, in particular Rosanna, who, after the founder's passing, pressed on along the innovative trail that he had blazed.
Lovato took up the technological challenge of the constant evolution of engines and new environmental needs and now offers a complete range of systems and components for converting vehicles to both LPG and methane in compliance with the latest legislation on polluting emissions. The other 5 million cars in the world that are fitted with Lovato systems are the best possible proof of the success of a design that is characterised by reliability and ease of installation.

OFFICINE LOVATO, which changed its name to LOVATO GAS SpA in 2007, is a very flexible company that is always able to respond to the needs of the market and to the challenges of innovation.

Lovato has concentrated logistics and production on two separate sites. Research and Development, Design, Production, Sales, Marketing and Accounts are based in Vicenza whilst Logistics and Dispatch are based in Padua.

Lovato’s international focus (exports account for over 90% of its turnover) has led it to set up companies in India and Brazil to better penetrate these markets.

Today the Company employs more than 120 people.
